Retro Planet Father's Day Review & Giveaway

My step-father is a pretty unique guy. There is a long time joke in the family that he is Superman because he has done so much in his life and so much for other people. Because of this, he has collected quite a few Superman things over the years. He had a Superman cake for this groom's cake when he married my mom. And he even dressed as Superman, with the tights and everything, one year on Halloween, which my kids thought was awesome. When Father's Day rolls around, I always look for something with Superman on it, just to keep up with the tradition. This year, I found exactly what I was looking for at Retro Planet.

Retro Planet has taken the vintage Superman Comics and made them into collectibles that fans everywhere are going to love. For our review, we received both a Superman mug and a vintage metal sign, both of which brought a smile to my dad's face. The mug is a large 18oz oval shaped mug. Its nice and deep and keeps coffee  warm for hours. The sign is much bigger in person than I thought it was going to be, and its the perfect accent piece to his office at his restaurant. Having these items with him at work reminds him that we are thinking of him and that he will always be Superman to us.

I also received the "Danger Men Cooking" sign which was the perfect present for my husband. He is the executive chef at our family restaurant in a kitchen filled with men. While there is no danger of them cooking a bad meal, they certainly get into a lot of action back there, and if you're not careful, you might get hit with a flying baked potato. So it was a fitting gift that made him and his friends at work smile.  All three items I reviewed are available for under $15 making them fun and affordable choices this Father's Day.
