Barefoot Books Review & Giveaway

I love books. I am always reading something. And I think its important to encourage a love of reading from a very early age. I have read a book to Willow every night since she was born. And even a few times before she was born. My older kids love reading to her too, and the bigger she gets the more she enjoys it. She even turns the pages herself already and can point out pictures like dogs and balls. When it comes to books for children, Barefoot Books is a great little shop to find all the best stories. They  offer a large selection of titles for kids from toddlers to tweens.

For our review, we received two books. The first is "Listen, Listen" and its all about the sounds of the seasons.  From birds chirping to snow crunching, this book takes your little one on a journey with their senses. The pages are wonderfully illustrated and are made from thick cardboard so little fingers can't rip them. My baby is 16 months old now and she loved looking at all the pictures. We also received "The Boy Who Grew Flowers" which is a cute picture book that my older children enjoyed. Its about a little boy who sprouted flowers all over this body on the full moon. Its an interesting tale, brightly illustrated and well written, that teaches about the power of kindness through humor.

These are  only a few example of dozens of wonderful stories you can find at Barefoot Books.  They have lots of wonderful titles for children from birth to twelve years of age.  Titles include ABCs and 123s, fairy tale stories, pirate tales, games and more.  In addition to books, they also have puzzles, puppets and other cute gift ideas. A bundle of books or a gift card would make a great present for any occasion. There is no better present than a book. Its much better than toys that make a lot of noise.
