1st Birthday Bash! Eco Friendly Toys from Imagination Box Co Review & Giveaway

Its not always easy being a green mama when so many of the toys out there are made with materials that are sometimes toxic and almost always bad for the environment. Well, I came across a really cool little shop that I think is perfect for younger children. Its called the Imagination Box Co, and it not only environmentally friendly but wallet friendly as well.

Imagination Box creates cardboard playhouses.  I love this idea for several reasons. First of all, I've had those little plastic playhouses before. They never last for more than a year or two before the kids outgrow them. Then you have a pretty large piece of garbage that is going to sit in a landfill somewhere. Even if you pass it down to another child or a friend, eventually that is where it will wind up. But with the carboard playhouse, it is easy to recycle once your child has outgrown it. Plus its already made some recycled materials so you are already helping to reduce waste. Another thing that makes this a unique is that your child can decorate it themselves. This makes for a fun filled art project that will last for days.

We received the Castle Tower to review and when it arrived, my husband looked at it and said it was going to last about five minutes. But he was so wrong. Its actually really sturdy and very easy to assemble. My 10 year old daughter put it together on her own. Then my two older children set to the task of decorating it. They spent three days coloring and picking out stickers to adorn their creation. They are very proud of the end result.  In addition to the castle, you can also find barns, cottages and more.
