Mixes From The Heartland Review & Giveaway

I think by now everyone knows that I like healthy foods. I search the internet up and down looking for new and interesting things to try out because I like variety. I also refuse to sacrifice taste. I've discovered some great products along the way, and the newest ones are the tasty gluten-free mixes from Mixes from the Heartland. They have a large variety of cakes, breads, soups, pies and more.

We received an assortant of products to try out. The first and in my opinion, the best, was the Impossible Coconut Pie Mix. One bag is only $6.49 and is enough to make two pies. You just add a few simple ingredients, mix, and cook. This pie is just as good as any pie I've ever bought in a bakery. My chef husband did the actual baking, but he said it was very simple and that even I could probably do it without burning the house down. 

My second favorite mix was the Hawiian Sweet Bread.  I had never tried this before and it was a sweet suprise. Its kind if like pound cake with pineapple and coconut in it. It was even easier than the pie to make and just as delicious. Everyone in my house loved it as well as the vanilla pound cake.  We also received a few soups to try out. The Minestrone and the Cajun Bean Soup. The Minestrone was excellent. Not too salty like many canned soups. The Cajun soup was a little too spicy for me, but my husband liked it. All in all, it was a great selection of products my whole family enjoyed.
