Slow Food for Fast Lives creates wonderful food for
people who are in a big hurry—yes, that means you. I very much enjoyed these
unusual meal bars, which include a complete serving of vegetables, all natural
ingredients, and are safe for vegans as well as those who have gluten-free
diets. Be warned: these bars are not sweet, and if you’re expecting them to be,
you’re in for a surprise. The wrappers boast “savory” taste, and you’ll find
the Thai Bar has a bit of a kick to it, as the ingredients include chili
pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. The taste is satisfying, but not
intense enough to send you running for the nearest glass of water.
The California Bar is delicious if you like kale.
Despite the fact kale is not the main ingredient, the taste may be overwhelming
for those who are not used to it. The Indian Bar, with touches of mango,
pepper, and ginger, is quite scrumptious. The Moroccan Bar is definitely my
favorite, as the currants added a sweeter quality. Best of all, these meal bars
really work. I was happily satiated after enjoying my first one. Slow Food for
Fast Lives is a great alternative to grabbing a sub-par granola bar, which will
likely leave you wanting more within minutes.
Treat yourself right and get these great bars. You
won’t regret it.
