Getting Fit With NutriSystem Week #10 #NSNation

Another week has flown by! This was a week when I was grateful for the NutriSystem program for more reasons than weight loss. My youngest son (the main reason I'm on this diet), has been having some issues with his head rounding out. Its a little flat in the back. His regular pediatrician didn't think it was serious, but wanted me to see the neurologist, just in case. We had that appointment this week. Now, they are a little concerned it may be more than just a cosmetic issue. His skull might not be fusing right which could put pressure on this brain. They told me not to panic yet. He would probably have developmental issues if he had this condition. But, really, they tell a mother her son's brain might be getting crushed, then tell her not to worry? Who are they kidding? I'm a nervous wreck. But what does all that have to do with NutriSystem? Their quick and easy meals are the only reason I am still standing right now. I probably wouldn't have eaten at all if didn't have their ready to eat breakfasts and lunches to take on the two hour ride to the hospital each day for doctor appointments and cat scans. Because really, eating is just an after thought right now.

So, I just weighed myself for the first time this week, and I am down to 137.6. Not quite a whole pound less than last week, but not bad. I'm actually surprised I didn't lose more, just from being so stressed out.  I think drinking a little more coffee with cream and sugar while I was traveling might have held me back a little, but at least I still went down. I also didn't get to exercise as much as I normally do.But I am down over ten pounds, and I just got an email yesterday letting me know my first NutriBear is on his way.

This week, for my favorite pick, I wanted to feature on of the items I took on the road. I thought I'd go with the Chocolate Chip Scones. I used to spend a fortune on scones at coffee  shops, but these are just as tasty and have a lot less calories.
"Chocolate for breakfast? Absolutely! This rich, dense pastry is filled with chips of semi-sweet chocolate, for bursts of chocolate flavor in every bite. This is great right out of the package, or you can heat it briefly in either the toaster oven or the microwave until the chocolate melts. Yum!"
