Film Synopsis

On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan, his brother Gary (Jason Segel) and Gary’s girlfriend, Mary (Amy Adams), from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze Muppet Studios and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets’ former stomping grounds. Our Thoughts: When I was a little girl back in the 80's, I remember watching The Muppets television series. At the time we lived with my grandparents, and the whole family would hanker down for the night. We all had our favorite characters. I loved the Swedish Chef, my grandfather loved animal. I hadn't really thought about the show in years, but when I watched this film, it was like being hit with a torrent of memories. Just the theme song brought me back in time. But in addition to reminding me of good times in the past, it also has created a new way to bond with my own children. All four of them sat still for the whole movie, even the baby was entranced. The songs are fun, the characters are as lovable as ever, and they bring together Muppets and celebrities that people from all generations will love. My grandparents would have gotten a kick out of Micky Rooney's cameo appearance, and my tween was excited to see Selena Gomez show up. This movie brought back everything I loved about the original show, but presented an original storyline of the Muppets trying to resurrect their old studio. I know this is a film we will be watching again and again, and its the perfect choice for family movie night.

If you would like to check out The Muppets Combo pack for yourself, it is available in stores nationwide including Walmart, Target, and Kmart.  You can also order a copy online at Amazon for only $26.99.
