@Parragon Book #Giveaway - Pumpkins, Pumpkins Everywhere
It's Halloween and there are pumpkins everywhere! Follow the adventures of four little trick-or treaters as they make their way to their towns pumpkin parade.
My Thoughts
This is a cute book and a nice choice for Halloween. The illustrations are really beautiful. There's lots of color and kids in costumes. My children did enjoy flipping through and looking at the pictures, but there really isn't any story-line to hold their attention. Most of the pages are just a two words, like "Pumpkin Happy" or "Pumpkin Sad"and the faces on the pumpkins match the descriptions. This is the type of thing I would expect on an infant's board book, but not a picture book for older children.
A litter further into it, the lines get a little longer, like the pumpkin leading the parade. For very young children, it might be a good way to teach about emotions, but for the most part, I found the story lacking, especially when most of the pages aren't even complete sentence. The illustrations are great. I just wish the story was just more interesting.
