Pretend and play along
with the firefighters! Using the four interactive puzzle pieces that
kids match to each scene, play along and help save the day with your own
firefighting equipment, and find a pop-up fire truck at the end!
Young readers can follow
along as the firefighter puts out a kitchen fire, saves pets from a
burning home, and removes a fallen tree. With a built-in handle, this
kit is handy for grab-and-go fun, and little ones can carry it
themselves.
Pretend and Play: Firefighter is a wonderful introduction to all the heroic tasks that firefighters perform.
May
4th, 2014 is National Firefighters' Day -- celebrating the dedication,
heroism and importance of firefighters from all over the world.
Show
your support by wearing blue and red ribbons (tied together,
symbolizing the combination of fire and water) and help raise to
awareness and support for your local firefighting operation.
My Thoughts
Just last week, my home state of New Jersey was ravaged by forest fires, so the brave men who fought the blaze are on our minds. My children watched on the news as the firemen bravely fought the massive flames. They are heroes we are proud to acknowledge on this special day.
The Pretend and Play Firefighter book is the perfect way to teach young children about fireman. They will love the bright colors and 3D images that just pop off the page. The book walks you through the steps of a fire emergency, from the ride in the big red engine to the putting out the flames. It's a great book for toddlers because it holds their attention. It also comes with cardboard cutouts of an ax, ladder, phone, and fire extinguisher that can be added to the book like puzzle pieces, making for lots of interactive fun. Little boys and girls who love firetrucks will definitely get a kick out of this book.
