Pirate’s Booty® has partnered up with Twentieth Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios’ Rio 2 starring returning cast members Anne Hathaway, Jesse Eisenberg, will.i.am, Jemaine Clement, Tracy Morgan, George Lopez, Leslie Mann, Rodrigo Santoro, and Jamie Foxx, plus Andy Garcia, Rita Moreno, Bruno Mars, and Kristin Chenoweth.  The film, in 3D, debuts in theaters everywhere on April 11, 2014.  As the exclusive snack partner for the second installment of the Rio franchise, Pirate’s Booty is offering a special Limited Edition 7-ounce package and a national “Shake Your Booty” contest to win a “Bahamas Adventure Cruise.”

It’s a jungle out there for Blu, Jewel and their three kids in Rio 2, after they’re hurtled from that magical city to the wilds of the Amazon.  As Blu tries to fit in, he goes beak-to-beak with the vengeful Nigel, and meets the most fearsome adversary of all – his father-in-law.

The Limited Edition Rio 2 7-ounce package is for Pirate’s Booty’s best-selling product – Pirate’s Booty Aged White Cheddar.  Pirate’s Booty Aged White Cheddar is a deliciously baked snack made from puffed rice corn and blended with real aged white cheddar cheese.  Pirate’s Booty has half the fat and fewer calories than regular fried potato chips, so it is a snack that kids and parents agree on.  Pirate’s Booty contains no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives and is also trans-fat, gluten, peanut and tree nut free.  The Limited Edition Rio 2 7-ounce package will be available at retailers nationwide now through the end of May 2014.

My Thoughts

Its not easy to get kids to eat  healthy snacks. If the bag has pictures of vegetables on it or no pictures at all, my kids don't want anything to do with them.  That's what makes Pirate's Booty so unique.  Their products are not only all natural, baked, and fat and gluten free, they also come in fun bags that appeal to kids.

As soon as our box of pirate booty, my kids were all over them.  The bags have cute characters on them from Rio 2 which got everyone even more excited. They are seasoned just right so that they are not too salty but not as bland as most healthy snacks can be. They are the perfect munchie for when you sit down to watch a good movie like Rio 2.
