Personalized Bestselling Children's Books from Put Me in the Story - Review & #Giveaway

 

You may already be familiar with Put Me In The Story personalized books for kids. If you are, great!  If not, let me tell you a little bit more.  Just over a year ago, Sourcebooks launched the Put Me In the Story website that allows customers to create personalized books that integrate a child’s name throughout the story, and includes a dedication page with their photo and a special note from you.  Since then, we’ve partnered with Sesame Workshop, Berenstain Bears, Nancy Tillman, Hello Kitty and more to add even more books to the Put Me In the Story library.

My Thoughts

 Books open up a whole new world of imagination.  Even now as an adult, I still get lost in the pages of a good book. I put myself in the place of the heroine, and imagine what it would be like to be her. When I read books to my children, I always see their eyes open with wonder. But imagine how much more amazing it would be if your child really was the hero in the story? Well, with Put Me In the Story that is exactly what happens. They make story telling that much more magical by adding in your child's name and photos.

For  our review, we picked out More Bears by Ken Nesbitt. My son doesn't go anywhere without his teddy bear so this was the perfect choice for him. The story is about an author struggling to write a story without any bears, but a certain little boy won't let him. Every time we turn the page, we see my son's picture with a little speech bubble that says "More bears!". This is totally something he would really say. When we go to the zoo, he calls for the bears the whole time. Every time Nicky asks for more bears, more show up on the next page doing all sorts of crazy things and driving the author crazy. My son loved the story and all the adorable bears but seeing his name and picture on each page made it even more special.  No book has every held this attention as much as this one did.
