Our Thoughts

We love Crock-Pots!  I have a large Crock-Pot that is perfect for large roasts & soups, and a medium Crock-Pot that is perfect for appetizers.  The LunchCrock?  That is for my husband at work (although I may steal it from him!).  I typically make his lunch for work, and have offered many times to send "hot" meals.  Lately he has declined hot meals since where he is located now, the cafeteria's microwave doesn't work.  Well, it runs . . . it doesn't heat food adequately.  The LunchCrock is a perfect solution -especially since this winter has been SO cold, with lots of sub-zero temps, so a hot meal is appreciated!  And the 20 oz size is just right for one person.

We eat paleo here, and I've been working on re-creating one of my favorite non-paleo soups, split pea.  The first time I sent him to work with the LunchCrock, I sent a ham & cauliflower soup that was identical in taste (but not color).  He messaged me from work to say the LunchCrock had been on for two hours, was working great, and that someone had already stopped by to ask what that delicious smell was!  I've since sent him to work with other hot meals and look forward to sending more - I love that he can have the LunchCrock right at his desk.  I love that I can send leftovers! 

Make sure to read the owners manual.  There are a lot of great tips in there, for example, it's normal for the removable food container lid to pop open after the LunchCrock has been in "warm" mode. Also, the outer lid does not need to be secured while the LunchCrock is heating, but it is recommended to ensure a quicker heating time.

One of my favorite aspects (okay, two) of the LunchCrock is that the food container and lid are not only separate, removable pieces, they are also dishwasher safe!  My big Crock-Pot has a removable container, but I don't put those in the dishwasher.  My medium Crock-Pot does not have a removable container, so it is a little harder to wash.
