My Thoughts

My husband got me into juicing a few years ago, and its the best thing I've ever done for my family. I've never had more energy, our immune systems have improved, and I believe it even helps me maintain a healthy body weight. There are many juicers  out there to choose from and I've tried out several, but the Juicepresso is by far my favorite. It's compact, easy to clean, and it yields more juice than other machine. Assembly was easy. All the pieces slide right together and it took less them five minutes to get it ready to go right out of the box.

The first thing we did when we were getting ready to try out our Juicepresso for the first time was to get our selections together. We use green apples and carrots as our base to make it sweet and appealing to our children. Then we add in other random vegetables depending on availability. This time around we used beets and asparagus. Actually, I used the bottom stems of the asparagus. This is a great way to get the most from your veggies. The bottoms are always a little to hard and chewy to eat in a salad, but by juicing them, you get out all the vitamins and nutrients and nothing is wasted. We do the same thing with broccoli stems and other things that used to go into the trash.

Once our pieces were sliced, we were ready to use the juicer. You insert the vegetables in the top.The Juicepresso uses a slow juicer or cold press process. It uses little friction and no heat. What this means to the average person, is that the pressing process takes a little bit longer, but you're getting more juice and less pulp. It's basically giving you even more concentrated juice, so you get the most for your money with every batch of fruit and vegetables. I have a family of six so this an important factor for me. We spend a ton of money on our vegetables and with the Juicepresso I noticed I saw a significant  difference in the amount of juice produced.

The juicer comes with two large pitchers that you can set on both sides of the machine. As the vegetables are fed through, the juice comes out one side and the remnants the other. Again, there was a lot less waste with this machine then what I'm used to seeing. I'm happy to say, there was also a lot less clean-up. The juicer I was using was so messy, I used to have to cover my whole counter with old towels to prevent a huge disaster. With this one, it leaked only a very little and I think that was my fault because I overstuffed it while I was still getting used to it. Once I got the hang of how much to insert at one time, there was no more leaking.

The finished product was perfect. Not only did I get almost twice as much juice as I expected, there was also very little pulp. For the first time, my kids didn't break out the strainer before they would drink it. It was smooth and tasty and one of the best experiences I've had since I began juicing. Clean up was simple too. Certain pieces should be hand-washed and Juicepresso provides detailed instructions on how to do this correctly to ensure the machine has a long life. I always recommend cleaning your juicer immediately after you're finished with it. If you leave it sit for even a little while, the remnants harden and its much more difficult to get it clean. If you do it right away, you can get most of the pieces off the blades by simply running it under hot water. Some parts are dishwasher safe if you want to get them sterilized, but in my opinion, you should still rinse it off before hand.

Overall, my experience with this juicer was top notch. Easy assembly, suburb results, and simple clean up make this a five star product all the way. It's definitely my favorite review product so far for 2014. Whether you're considering getting into juicing for the first time or your an old hand at it, the Juicepresso is a great way to get the most for your money.
