Summer Splash! Rome Industries Pie Irons Review & Giveaway

One of the things my family always looks forward to in the summer months is our annual camping trips. Its a great time to leave the world of electronics behind and just enjoy the beauty of nature and the gift of being a family. For me, being a terrible cook even in a real kitchen, the hardest part about camping was trying to give my kids a decent meal while cooking on an open fire. I would normally burn everything or drop it into the fire. But now, thanks to the amazing pie  iron from Rome Industries, cooking on the open road is a breeze.

I was lucky enough to receive a pie iron to review, and both my husband and I think its amazing. Since I'm expecting, we can't go camping this summer, but we tested out the pie iron on a fire in the backyard. It was like having a picnic and the kids thought it was awesome. We got some bread, ham, and cheese and loaded them into the pie iron. In just a few minutes, we had the perfect gooey sandwiches. They weren't burned or overcooked at all. The long handle makes it so easy, even the kids could make their own, with supervision of course.

The pie iron is great for way more than just sandwiches. You can also use it for cooking eggs, hot dogs, hamburgers and so much more. It makes all your campfire meals quick, easy, and fun.
