Summer Birthday Bash! Melissa & Doug Beach Toys Review & Giveaway

I love living at the Jersey Shore. I feel so blessed to have the beautiful ocean and the endless miles of sandy beaches practically in my own back yard. Its like the whole summer is one big vacation. As avid beach goers, of course we have a huge collection of buckets and shovels in all kinds of shapes and sizes. But none are as adorable and fun as the interactive beach toys that we received to review from Melissa and Doug. Their beach toys make it feel like we are visiting the beach for the very first time.

We were lucky enough to receive a selection of beach toys to review. The first is the Seaside Sidekicks Sand Molding Kit. This is a set of five molds in fun animal shapes including a starfish, crab, turtle, seahorse and fish. They are simple for kids of all ages because you just have to pack in the sand and turn them upside down. The different sizes can be stored inside each other, so they won't take up too much space in your beach bag.

The next toy we tried is the Clicker Crab Pail & Scoop.  This bucket and shovel is a step above the rest, and not just because of that adorable crab design. The shovel is very sturdy and the handle isn't going to break easily like with most shovels.  The matching bucket is the perfect way to gather seashells or carry some water back to your sandcastles.

For all the little ones who enjoy making mud pies, the Seaside Sidekicks Sand Baking Set is the way to go. This set comes with a mixing bowl, whisk, measuring cups, and crab mixing spoon. Its the perfect way to play house in the sandbox or at the beach. The adorable shapes will inspire creativity and kids of all ages will love them.

Finally, we received the Seaside Sidekicks Sand Cupcake Set.  This one is my favorite. The hinged cupcake holder makes it easy to mold your sand into adorable cupcakes that you can even hold in your hands if you use the right kind of sand. It comes with adorable cupcake covers shaped like sea animals and an icing sculptor to help you perfect your creations.
