The Simple Garden Review & Giveaway (3 Winners)
There is more than one way to be green, and in the New Age Mama household, we try to do it all. One of the things I love to do this time of year is grow my own vegetables. I do live in the Garden State, after all. My older daughter enjoys planting and this year she wanted a little patch of land for a garden of her own. Since she is just a kid, I wanted something that would make things easy for her. I found just what I was looking for at The Simple Garden. Their garden sets come with everything you need to get started on developing your green thumb.
We received a large variety of cool products from The Simple Garden to try out, and my daughter set to work immediately upon getting home from school. Their planters are perfect and easy to use. They come with pots of various sizes depending on what you're planting in them, seed packets, soil and a template that helps you space the plants apart evenly. The herb kit has three sections to plant basil, oregano, and cilantro which are great herbs to have around the house all year long. To help keep them growing even in the dark days of winter, The Simple Garden offers a LiteStik (sold separately), which helps bring the power of the sun into your home and keep your plants thriving all year long.
My daughter's favorite item we received is the signature The Simple Garden product. This one will allow her to grow her favorite cherry tomatoes. It comes with a huge planter with a green house top. They also offer a water stick to make sure your plants are getting enough water which is sold separately but a must have. The included instruction manual gives step my step instructions, making it easy for my ten year old to work with no supervision. You can keep your planter indoors or outdoors and get fresh veggies anytime of the year.
The Simple Garden is an amazing company that brings a little nature into the lives of children and adults. With summer coming, these kits are a wonderful way for kids to get their hands dirty for a reason. It will provide hours of fun and teach them the responsibility of caring for a living thing as well as the rewards they can sow as their plants mature. Even if you don't have children, these kits would be wonderful for anyone who enjoys fresh herbs and vegetables. Even if you have limited space, you will be able do some gardening and bring a little something green into your life.
Three very lucky winners are each going to receive a herb kit so they can share the magic of nature with their own families. To enter, just visit The Simple Garden and tell me something you learned or another product you would love to buy. My favorite product is the LiteStik. I have a great landlord who allowed me to till up most of the yard. But, we have very few windows in our apartment, making it impossible to grow herbs during the winter. This LiteStik is exactly what I've been looking for - no big apparatus, just a simple little light!
