I have always thought sock monkeys were the cutest things. It seems like the characters on the TV always have them, and I love that commercial where the sock monkey comes to life and drives off in the family car. But as much as I love sock monkeys, I have never been able to find one in the stores. Well now, thanks to SockMonkey.net, I don't need to buy a pre-made sock monkey, because I can make one on my own with their fun and easy Sock Monkey Kits.
For our review, we received the Deluxe Sock Monkey Kit which came with everything we needed including 2 socks, stuffing, needle and thread, ribbon, and buttons. Making your sock monkey is simple and fun. I did this fun craft with my oldest daughter. She is eleven and was able to do the majority of the project herself. I did have to help you out a little. There are 16 steps in the process, and we were able to complete them in just a few hours while we watched a movie. If you have a sewing machine, it will be even easier. Younger children would probably need more help, but making a sock monkey is definitely an exciting project and a great way to spend some quality time with your kids. When we were all done, we had an adorable classic sock monkey. My daughter is saving hers to give to her little sister on her birthday, and I know the baby will love it all the more because her sister made it with love. You can get a sock monkey kit of your own on the sock monkey website. Prices start as low as $13 for the budget set and the deluxe set is only $22. With summer creeping up on us, this would be a wonderful craft to have around for rainy days when you're stuck at home with antsy kids. So check them out and get your Sock Monkeys today.
Two lucky winners are each going to receive a Budget Sock Monkey Kit so they can make a sock monkey of their own. To enter, just visit Sock Monkey.net and tell me something you learned. For additional entries, you can do any of the following, but you must complete this initial entry first.
