Out of the Box Games- Word on the Street Junior Review & Giveaway

 When it comes to family game night, our family takes it pretty seriously. In fact, we play games almost every night, as long as homework and chores are finished.  One of my favorite types of games are word games. They are educational as well as fun. The newest addition to our selection of word games comes from Out of the Box, a company whose logo is "Inspiring Fun". The game is called Word on the Street Junior and its a wacky tug of words.

Word on the Street Junior is designed for children ages eight and older. They will need to be able to read pretty well to be able to play. How it works, is that each player or team flips over a category card and team members have to brainstorm to think of a word that fits into that category. The team must agree on one word before the time runs out. Then they can pull each letter in that word one lane closer to their side of the street. The first team to pull eight letters off the street will be the winner.

My family really enjoyed the action packed game of Word On the Street Junior. It encourages team work, vocabulary development, and creative thinking. Its fun for kids to play on their own, buts its also the perfect game for whole families to play together.
