Spoonful of Comfort Review and Giveaway
When I was a little girl, my mom and I lived with my grandparents. My grandmother was an old school Italian and she made everything from scratch from pasta sauce to bread. When it came to things like chicken soup, I didn't even know it came in a can until I have in high school. When I was a kid, I didn't really appreicate how wonderful my grandmother's food was, but now that she's gone, its only one of many things I miss about her. I have never had a bowl of chicken soup as good as hers was, until now. At Spoonful of Comfort, they made chicken soup that is just like what Nana used to make.
I was lucky enough to receive one of the Spoonful of Comfort Care Packages to review, and it was amazing. It comes beautifully packaged in a sturdy mason jar with the soup well insulated, which it needs to be since they use only real pieces of chicken and fresh vegetables. No fake processed meats here. This is the real thing. It has lots of flavor and is a great pick me up for lunch or diner. Along with the soup, you can get freshly baked biscuits that just melt in your mouth. And for dessert, the most scrumptious oatmeal cookies that are soft and chewy, just the way I like them. The package was enough to feed my family of five with a little left over.
But there is more to Spoonful of Comfort than just a great home cooked meal. If you have a friend or family member who is under the weather, but too far away for you to make a personal visit, a care package from Spoonful of Comfort could be just what they need to lift their spirits. Not only will it cheer them up, but give them a few days of not having to worry about meals. It would also be a great idea for college kids around exam time to get them some healthy food to munch on while they are cramming. There are lots of occasions where a little comfort would be appreciated, and these homemade soups and goodies would be the perfect way to provide it.
One lucky winner is going to receive the same three items that I received to review--soup, biscuits and cookies. To enter, visit Spoonful of Comfort and tell me something you learned, For additional entries, you can do any of the following, but you must complete this initial entry first.
