Soda Stream Review & Giveaway

I've been seeing the Sodastream soda maker around for the last couple of months and I was debating whether or not I wanted to get one. I wasn't sure it was really possible to make soda at home that would taste like the name brands that my family and I are used to.  So when I had the opportunity to review the Sodastream, I jumped at the chance.   The experience I've had is not disappointing. 

First of all, I was amazed at the generosity of this company. They sent me one of every flavor to try as well as the soda maker itself.  My kids were so excited. I had to let them each pick out a flavor to make. They decided on orange soda and root beer for our first test drive.  When we got started, I thought it would be more complicated than it was. But its actually so easy my children have already mastered it and can do it themselves.  You just insert the carbon canister, screw in the bottle of water, hit the button a few times. and you have carbonated water. Then you add the soda flavoring of your choice and shake. That's it.

So, its easy, but how does it taste? It tastes just as good as any soda I've ever bought off the shelves. And considering one canister of carbon makes 60 liters of soda, the amount of money you can save makes it well worth a few extra steps each night.  My kids love making the soda so much, I don't think they will every want to switch back.  Plus, my chef husband is already trying to think of ways to make his own unique syrups to try out.  Not that we need to with the amazing selection offered at Soda Stream.
