Old Time Candy Company Review & Giveaway

I know I must be getting old when I hear myself saying things like "when I was a kid..." But its true that things aren't the same. Not even the candy is the same. I always tell my kids about the Wax Candies that were one of my favorite Halloween treats. They looked like bottles of soda. You could bite off the wax top and drink the extra sweet liquid inside. I told my kids about them a thousand times and they just rolled their eyes at me. But now, thanks to Old Time Candy Company, they got to try them, and lots of other old favorites, for the first time.

Old Time Candy Company offers a really unique product. They have all the candies you know and loved no matter what decade you grew up in. From the 1920's to the 1990's, if you loved it, they probably have it. Choose just one type of candy or have them create a variety box of all your favorites. Choose just one decade or let them mix it up so you get a little piece of every generation. We went with the mixed box, and it was lots of fun for my family. In addition to the Wax Candy, we also got buttons, candy cigarettes, wax lips, marshmallow ice cream cones and more. There were also some that were completely new to me, like the Turkish Taffy and the Cherry Mash.

With Valentine's Day coming, if you want to give someone a really unique gift that will send them back in time, consider Old Time Candy Company. They even have a special Valentine's Day selection. They also have Christmas, Halloween, and Birthday selections. If you are having a party, then Old Time Candy would make  unique and exciting party favors. No matter what occasion you are celebrating, if you love candy and you love a walk down memory lane, this is the company for you.

One lucky winner is going to receive a four pound box of candy in the decade of their choice. To enter, just visit their website and tell me which kind of candy brings back memories for you. 167. Warheads~! When those came out, we all challenged each other to "sour-offs." LoL. The Lemon and Green Apple ones were the most sour, so we'd see how many we could handle all at once. The most I recall I could handle was seven.

  170. The Bottle Caps bring back memories for me. I liked them, except for the root beer ones. And since they looked just like the cola ones, I never chanced it. All of the Bottle Caps I got on Halloween were promptly traded for DumDum suckers (especially the Mystery Flavors!)

  185. I know it's not pc, but I remember candy cigarettes. My parents smoked in the 80s and I used to think I was so cool being like my parents with my candy cig. lol
