Dark Horse Store Review & Giveaway

The holidays will be here before we know it. Already the stores are filled with decorations. Its a tradition in my family to spend the Friday after Thanksgiving decorating the house. When I was a little girl, one of my favorite decorations was the light up ceramic Christmas tree at my grandmother's house. It was broken before she had a chance to pass it down to me, and I had never seen another one like it. Until now! While doing some exploring on Etsy, I found a little shop called the Dark Horse Store. They have some adorable little ceramic trees that look just like the one my grandmother had.

I was lucky enough to receive one of the beautiful ceramic Christmas trees to review. I was amazed at the intricate design. There are a few dozen lights in different colors, a big bright star and snow capped leaves. You can see the details of every branch. It is small which makes it perfect for a desk or coffee table. And it includes the light bulb and wire which is tested before its sent. But what I love about this piece the most is the memories it brings back of my grandmother who passed more than ten years ago. And of course I also look forward to making new holiday memories with my children and even by own grandchildren some day. With a quality piece of art like this, I have no doubts it will still be around long enough!

The Christmas trees are only one examples of so many beautiful pieces you can find at Dark Horse Store. They sell  many adorable knick knacks like their Peace Frog and Lava  Gecko. They even have cactus salt and butter shakers, which would make a great Christmas gift.  And it isn't too late to find some wonderful Halloween pieces as well.
