Jack Taylor, Set 3

“If the name doesn’t ring a bell, the presence might. Iain Glen has been a superb actor for decades… Glen carves a great character out of the role… one of the best of the recent mysteries series.” MSN

Based on the bestselling crime fiction by Ken Bruen and filmed on location against the rugged backdrop of western Ireland, this gripping series follows Jack Taylor – a former cop fighting his own demons – as he works cases in Galway as a private detective (DVD 3-disc set, 3 feature-length episodes, plus a photo gallery for each mystery, $49.99). Set 1 & 2 on Acorn TV with Set 3 premiering on March 27.

My Thoughts

Jack Taylor, Set 3 is an excellent addition to the Jack Taylor series. Jack is an ex-cop who now works as a PI with a dark past he's trying to overcome.  This box set brings us three new episodes including:

Cross- A man is found crucified . His brother is already suspected of a hit and run and the victim's family might be looking for revenge.

Headstone - An old fremeny of Jack's has been kidnapped and Jack decides to help find him.

Purgatory - Jack lands a job with a software company to find some valuable data that was stolen.

This gritty series will leave you on the edge of your seat the whole time. There's lots of action and even a little romance.  I have seen the whole series, but you can watch each episode as a stand-alone and still follow along. There are no cliff-hangers and each episode is it's own complete story. This is a great series for fans of drama and mystery with a little bit of edginess.

If you would like to order a copy of this exciting box set for yourself, it is available on Acorn Media for only $49.99 or order direct from Amazon
