My Thoughts
The Ice Age: Collision Course movie was really awesome. My family has been following the series from the beginning, and I keep thinking it will be impossible for the next movie to be as good as the last one, but with Ice Age, they always manage to surprise me. They always throw in a few new surprises. This time around, the gang is trying to survive a possible interstellar catastrophe. Manny has a plan to keep the asteroid from hitting earth, but it won't be easy. As they travel, they meet lots of interesting characters, including a few flower children with a pretty sloth in their midst.
The whole movie is great, but I was really excited to see poor Sid finally finding a love interest, and with a New Age girl at that! And of course, the crazy adventures of Scrat and his acorn are always one of the highlights. This time around, he is the whole cause of the possible collision. Another feature worth mentioning is all the awesome bonus features on the blu-ray including a Scrat mini movie, and lots of other Scrat antics. All in all, this was a five star movie all round that my whole family enjoyed.
