Outdoor Fun with the Little Tikes Treasure Hunt Sand & Water Table - #Giveaway

My Thoughts

The  Little Tikes Treasure Hunt Sand & Water Table is tons of fun.  My kids were super excited when it arrived, and thankfully, assembly was really easy. It only took about five minutes to get it together. There are no tools needed. The pieces just pop right into place. The only real assembly is adding the legs to the sand section and installing the grinders. However, sand is not included, so make sure you consider this before purchasing. I live a block from the beach, and my yard is pretty much made of sand, but for those aren't that lucky, the cheapest bag I found online was around $15.

Once you're set up and ready to go, the table is really awesome. The top part holds the sand, and the lower level holds the water. It also comes with a whole set of accessories including shovels, rakes, boats, and coins and diamonds that you can bury so the kids can dig them up.

My children spent HOURS playing with the  Treasure Hunt Sand & Water Table. It was refreshing to dip their hands in the water on a hot day, but not nearly as messy as a full size pool or sandbox would be. Its perfect for after school when you don't have a lot of time but want to spend a few hours outside. They loved digging in the sand and running the boat through the water.  They feel like real miners, sifting the sand looking for treasure, then cleaning it off.  My kids are three and five, and I wasn't sure if this toy would be a big hit with them, but they love it more than I expected. Its perfect for outdoor play and lets mom get some gardening done without interruptions.

The only downside to this toy is that its very easy for the sand and water to mix, which can get messy. For those who don't have access to an unlimited supply of sand, it can also get pricey because you will lose some sand every time you play with it. On the bright side, you can use the water section as a lid for the sand when its not in use, making it easy to store the whole thing without losing pieces or the sand getting spilled. Personally, I keep ours in the shed when not in use, but it should be fine outside in the backyard as well.
