Holiday Gift Guide - Miyoni – Unlikely Friends from Aurora - Review & #Giveaway

Miyoni – Unlikely Friends (all ages; 12”; SRP: $30): Aurora’s Miyoni line includes hundreds of handmade, hand-finished and high quality plush animals. In a line expansion earlier this year, Aurora released Unlikely Friends, bringing two species – such as a rabbit and chick – together in the most heartwarming ways. The “Chocolate Lab and Kitten” combination won Creative Child’s “2014 Plush Toy of the Year (Plush Toy Category).”

 My Thoughts

My little girl's two favorite things are puppy dogs and kitty cats. She loves anything that has a dog or a cat on it and a collection of stuffed puppies and kitties that is practically overflowing from her room.  When I saw the Unlikely Friends,  I knew they would be a huge hit with her, and I was right. This duo has been at the head of her bed since they arrived. We received the chocolate lab and andora kitten. They are sewn together with their noses touching, forever displaying their affection for each other. They are adorable plush toys that are extremely well made and realistic. The fur is soft and the seams are tight. I have some Aurora toys that my teen passed down to my four-year-old that are over ten years old and still in great shape. I'm sure this one will be no different.

In addition to the superior quality and pure huggability of this set, I also love the meaning behind it. Unlikely Friends teaches children that is doesn't matter how different you are. It doesn't even matter if society has taught you that you are supposed to be enemies. Anyone can be friends with a little effort.
