I love color, but I also find it intimidating. I'll buy clothes in pretty shades of pastel or deep reds or purples, and then they'll sit in my closet while I wear my normal black and white with an occasional brown thrown in. Those colors are safe. I know they work with my skin tone. When it comes to interior design, I am an even bigger wimp. Tan walls, tans rugs, and a solid colored couch has pretty much been my theme since I moved out of my mom's house at eighteen. I've never been adventurous with my decor, until now.

This summer we plan on upgrading our  living room from carpet to hardwood floors. This means we would need an area rug for the center of the room. Power-loomed in Egpyt, each one is made from 100% Polypropylene which is just as soft to the touch as it is thick and sturdy. You won't have to worry about the ends fraying on this piece. The colors are so vibrant, it's like having a beautiful water mural in your living room. All my fears about it clashing with my decor were instantly banished. The earthy tones look amazing with by brown couch. One of the things I wasn't expecting, was the rug drawing out the paintings on our wall, making the blues and greens from the nature scenes really pop. The Loloi rug has added a whole new dimension to our living room, and I feel like I am finally expressing the uniqueness I knew was inside of me all along.
