Palmolive Soft Touch Coconut Butter Review and Giveaway

I remember being a little girl and hearing the commercials, "Palmolive softens your hands while you do dishes."  I didn't think much about it then, but today with four kids of my own, I spend a lot of time with my hands under water, scrubbing pots and washing dishes. Even though I have a dish washer, a lot of times I prefer to hand wash things like bottles or the lasagna pan because they never get really clean in the dishwasher. This can cause a lot of damage to your hands and especially your nails. Whether you get a  manicure at a salon or you're a do-it-yourselfer like me, you'll want that polish to last as long as possible, because moms are lucky to find time to paint their nails to begin with.

Palmolive was up the to test when it comes to keeping your nails looking great. They are so secure in their new Soft Touch formula, they offered to send me three bottles of their soaps to try out. Along with each one, I'll be getting a bottle of nail polish. The test here is to not only to convey how well the product works, but also how well your skin and nails will hold up to a stay-at-home mom's manic lifestyle.

The first bottle of soap I received is the Coconut Butter with Aloe and Vitamin E, and wow, does this one smell great. If you put just a drop on your hands, it feels more like lotion than soap. But don't let that fool you. This new addition to the Palmolive family cuts through grease just like its predecessors,and yes, my hands are still silky soft even after daily dunks into soap infested waters. But does the manicure hold up? Well, its been five days since I applied and I've done a sink full of dishes at least three times a day. But check out my nails.

So, as you can see, Palmolive holds up to its old claims. It still softens your hands while you do the dishes, but now it also keeps your nails looking fabulous to boot. The coconut butter is definitely a winner, but will the other varieties stand up to the test?
