New Age Mama was one of the first to try a new milk box product hitting grocery shelves this month – Horizon Organic Milk with 32 mg DHA Omega-3 Single Serve Milk Boxes.
We upgraded our milk box with Horizon Organic Milk with 32 mg DHA Omega-3 Single Serve Milk Boxes, which offer all of the nutritious benefits of milk, including 8g of protein, Vitamins A and D, and calcium, with the added benefit of DHA omega-3 to support healthy brain development.. Horizon Organic Milk with 32 mg DHA Omega-3 Single Serve Milk Boxes are available in two flavors kids will love – vanilla and chocolate 1% lowfat varieties.
These new shelf-stable organic milk boxes are the first on-the-go milk with 32 mg DHA omega-3, which has been shown to support healthy brain development. Why is this so important? Most children currently don’t get the suggested intake of DHA omega-3, making these new milk boxes a great choice for parents looking for a nutritious and tasty lunchbox choice (they also make great halftime drinks and on-the-go snacks for mom!).
Our Thoughts
I have been a fan of Horizon Organic for awhile now. Its one of the only brands of organic milk I can
actually buy in my area. We always get their half gallons of regular
milk and I have bought their little milk boxes for my kids on many
occasions. So of course I was excited to try out their newest product.
They now have available Organic ilk with DHA Omega-3Single Serve Milk Boxes that come in both vanilla and chocolate 1% lowfat varieties.
DHA Omega-3 is an important nutrient that helps support heart, brain and
eye health. That's an important benefit, but one that wouldn't do much
good if my kids didn't like what they were drinking. Luckily, Horizon's
newest addition tastes as great as I expected it would. My kids loved
it, especially in these portable single servings that are shelf stable. It doesn't taste watered down
like some low fat milks. Its thick, creamy, delicious, and a treat I
don't have to feel guilty about giving to my children. They enjoyed has a few at home and the older kids took some to school. .
