Summer Birthday Bash! Educational Insights Franction Formula Review & Giveaway

 During the summer months, its easy for kids to forget the things they learned during the school year.  Its important to find activities that keep their minds sharp and focused so they won't lose ground. One great way to do that is with the educational board games you can find at Educational Insights.  They have tons of games that will help children practice their reading and math skills. Just one example is their fun new game, Fraction Formula.

Fractions were never one of my favorite parts of math, but even I have to admit, Fraction Formula makes them fun. The game is designed for kids ages eight and older. It comes with 4 fraction cylinders, 52 fraction cards, 52 fraction tiles, 20 scoring guides, and an instruction manual. Playing the game is easy. You just draw a card with a fraction on it, and find the corresponding tile. Drop the card into the cylinder, and then you either draw another or if you think you are as close to 1 as you are going to get, you let the next player take their turn. The player who gets closet to one will win the round.

Fraction Formula is a wonderful way for kids to learn about fractional values, parts of a whole, and adding fractions. The cute chemistry set inspired pieces grab kids attention and the fast paced game makes them want to keep going. They will forget that they are learning and get lost in the fun of the game. My older kids are eight and ten, and they both loved the friendly mathematical competition.  And Fraction Formula is only one of dozens of fun toys and games at Educational Insights, all of which are a great way to keep kids on their toes this summer.
