Purely Products Review & Giveaway

I love at the shore, and my kids and I spend a lot of time at the beach. And even when we aren't there, we're usually outside at the park or nature walks or something.  Fresh air is wonderful but I do worry about the UV rays, especially since there is a history of skin cancer in my family. So when I was given the chance to review the Sun Mate from Purely Products, I was excited to give it  try.

The Sun Mate is a small, hand held device that measures the level of UV rays so you know how high the risk is. You just hold down the button and it lights up a number between 1 and 5.  As the numbers go higher, you know if you just need a stronger SPF or if maybe its time to go inside and play a board game. The first few times I tried it, it was always a one. But the last few days when the temperatures rose to the high nineties, it went up to a three. So, I know its working and I know when to be prepared.

In addition to the Sun Mate, I was also sent the Pocket Purifier to review. This is a great item for moms on the go, especially if you  have little ones that put their hands all over everything. It has a built in UV light that kills bacteria naturally, using no chemicals. Use it on the shopping cart at the mall or the seats in the restaurant.  The Pocket Purifier is compact enough to fit in most handbags and diaper bags. And as an added bonus, it has a flashlight which is always a good thing to carry around with you.
