I have wanted to try making my own baby food for a long time, but I was always nervous about doing in wrong. I didn't know if I was supposed to add anything or how long I had to puree it. If I did it wrong would my baby have trouble digesting it or even worse choke on it? But thanks to the So Easy Baby Food Kit from Fresh Baby, I've learned just how easy making your own baby food can be.
I was sent the starter kit which comes with a step by step DVD that walks you through the simple progress. It addition, you receive a cookbook, freezer trays, and nutrition tip guides. The trays are are perfect for storing your baby food. You can make enough for a full week in just 30 minutes. I learned that Baby food jars are often lined with Bisphenol-A, a controversial hormone disruptor that should be avoided.
ReplyDeleteI learned that they also have a toddler cookbook, which would come in handy for me now. I made all the babyfood for my 3rd son, and can't wait to start making it again!

ReplyDeleteProcessed baby food is developed for the mass market and, as a result, is limited in variety. Variety is key to a balanced diet, which is a core component of healthy and nutritious eating. With the amount of choice that is available in the produce and frozen-food sections of grocery stores, there is no reason why your baby should be limited by what food manufacturers consider the most popular foods. What's more, preparing baby food at home enables you to add herbs and combine flavors so that his mealtime is a pleasurable, gourmet experience
