You've Been Sentenced, Twisted Fish, and Wheel of Chore-ture Review & Giveaway

My family and I love to play card games and board games. Every night after dinner, as long as homework and chores are done, we all sit down together for an hour to play a game. I really think it helps to bring our family closer together.  Thanks to The Product Review Place and McNeill Designs my family and I were given the chance to try out a few fun games.

The first game we tried out is "You've Been Sentenced". You can  choose ten cards with different words on them. The object of the game is to make sentences that actually make sense with those words. If  someone thinks the sentence doesn't make sense, then each side has to argue their point and whichever players are not involved in the debate become the jury and determine who is right. 

I think me and my husband had more fun than the kids. He kept making crazy sentences and I had to call him out.  Here is a sample of one of our sentences "Sugar Robinson left Superior Scott flashing the cat-like Frank Sinatra."  My daughter made that one with a little help from me. I think this is a great game that encourages kids to read. With lots of add-on decks, the game will  never get old. Some of the words were a little challenging for my kids, but as long as their is a grown up playing to help a little, that shouldn't be a problem.

Next we tried out the "Twisted Fish" card game. Fish has always been one of our favorites, but this game is a new twist on an old classic. They have some extra cards called zingers that allow you to do things like ask for an extra card or deny a player a card they asked for even if you have it.  The artwork on the cards is fun and creative. This one is easy enough that my kids can play on their own if they want to.

Lastly, we received the Wheel of Chore-ture. I never thought my kids would not only willingly to their chores, but volunteer to do them. But with the Wheel of Chore-Ture hanging on the fridge, each night both kids want to take a spin to see which chore they will have to do. This is something every parent needs to have!
