Glee Gum Gummies Kit Review & Giveaway

Since we were snowed in for several days a few weeks ago, I was running out of interesting things to keep my two older children from killing each other.  Then one day we got something really cool in the mail. Our Gummies Kit that I was sent to review from Glee Gum.

My children were excited to try this out, and why wouldn't they be? They love things that are hands on, and they love candy. Combining the two in one was sure to be a hit. It was easy enough that they could have done it on their own, but because you have to use either the stove or microwave to heat it up, you should have parental guidance.  It involves some easy mixing and heating of the seaweed and flavoring. Then you use the molding starch to make shapes.  We used straws to make gummy worms, but you can use anything from fingertips to cookie cutters.Once you pour the mix into the mold, and let it cool, you can opt to use the sour coating that is also provided.

My kids loved the Gummies and were so proud that they made them pretty much all by themselves. But again, let me stress that you need to help them because the gel gets really hot. If you're using the microwave like I did, you also have to make sure you pay close attention. I didn't the first time and it overflowed which was a real mess to clean up. But it was still worth it because my kids had a great time and it kept them entertained for about an hour.
